Welcome Back to friends sailing this year in GREECE on a Bavaria 42  Thanks Alan, Peter and Ed! What a way to relax!
"Alan, Peter & Ed June 2006. Great Sailing if only a bit more constant wind. It’s either all or nothing.
Will try again next year with the girls back on a Cat. Thanks to all at Exas."

Lots of memories for 2 families sailing on the Sun Odyssey 52.2 with Flavio as their skipper.
Dear Thalea

"......we had a wonderful trip with Flavio.  The weather might not have
been the best, but as all but two of our crew live in the tropics, sun
and sea isn't that crucial to a good holiday.  Besides we got some great sailing in and even (I dare say especially) the non-sailors all delighted.

I've attached some photos of the trip and I'd be most grateful if you
would pass them along to Flavio, as well as our heartiest thanks
for a great trip.  (Also feel free to use them on your website .....)

Also my thanks to you for all the arrangements.  It could not have gone more smoothly (despite the weather!)"
Sincerely, L.S.

Thanks so much for the photos and comments-! What great memories for the children
and the adults! Wish I could use all the photos you sent- thanks again for sailing in Greece with us and Flavio!

Group of Australian friends sail in Turkey on the Bavaria 44.

"Thalea, thank you for organizing the boat. You picked a good group to be associated with in Turkey. Please thank Leyla at Turgutreis. Everything went very smoothly. The Turkish coast line was very nice. Good breeze and many nice coves to stay in. Had some fun sailing into the various Greek island ports such as Simi and Rhodes (fortunately no customs to give us a hard time). I have completed your survey . I will attach send some photos once I check that they are of a suitable standard for you.
Best regards:  (See attached file: ExasSurvey.doc) H. Wimmer

How satisfied are you with your sailing charter? Was your charter as expected? Booking Procedure?
Very good. Good support from Exas and Pupa. Booking in – no problems. Pupa were there as expected.
Very good yacht facilities at starting point – Turgutreis.  Boat in good condition.

Was enough information provided to you regarding your charter, checking in and out
There was some confusion initially, had thought we were sailing from Bodrum, however start point was Turgutreis (25 kms to the west). In fact  Turgutreis  was a better site to start the holiday. Town not so busy.  Everything relating to booking in OK
Given a choice, would you consider sailing with us in the future:
On the boat Pupa provided a copy of their magazine “Pupa Express” which covered the sailing grounds Bodrum through to Fethiye. This was a excellent publication which provided up to date comment on places of interest and restaurant facilities. We used it to determine where we would visit/overnight.
Yes we would use you and refer your services to any of the friends who may decide to sail in the future
Please thank Pupa for their excellent service. The fridge broke down half way through the trip. A phone call to their base and they had immediately arranged for a fridge mechanic and electrician to drive to our overnight and repair. Very good service.  The prompt response was unexpected. "

Alicia and Jared sailed for a week honeymoon in the Cyclades with Pericles on the Dufour 385.

"Thalea.
Jared and I wanted to thank you for the wonderful trip on the boat in Greece.  We had such an amazing experience and I am really glad I found you to work through.  Pericles was a perfect skipper for our trip.  He was professional, yet fun.  We were quite inexperienced we found.  The sea is definitely different from the Caribbean!  But, needless to say, we absolutely loved our trip.  We got to see some of the best Cyclades islands!  The people were so nice.  Pericles knew everyone!  ha!
I am sorry we had some trouble at the beginning, but really, I think Pericles was looking out for our safety.  I could foresee a lot of frustration the rest of the time sailing with the first boat.  Thanks to Pericles, the rest of our trip was worry free.  He made a good decision.     Everyone has seen our pictures and I am going to send people your way!  My mother and her husband want to come next year and they will for sure go through you!
I kept telling Pericles, we need to get a big group to come with us and go for 2 weeks next time!  There is so much to see!
Well, I could go on and on, but I just am trying to say thanks to you and to Pericles for making a wonderful honeymoon for Jared and I.  We could not have asked for more!    Sincerely,  Alicia

Another honeymoon sailing in the Ionian islands with Harris on the new Bavaria 39 cruiser.
"We had a lovely time. Harris was fantastic....'he'  was absolutely fantastic. We really adored him."......Yes, it was great information. I was under the impression we would sail our first night, but I understand we got in too late; we would [sail with Exas again]. C. Harrington.

Two families sail together from Athens on the Bavaria 47 with Gianni as their skipper.

"Thalia.

It was a simply a great trip and thanks for being so helpful.  I'm actually hoping it's going to be a life-changing event for me ....
Yannis was a big hit, and of course not just because of the sailing, but more dealing with the customs in tying up in harbors and where to eat and what to visit.  He also knew what small coves would be good for swimming, depending upon the direction of the wind.  We all learned to adopt his two shoulder shrug!   We would definitely do it again!   Ed"

Our last charter of the season with the Southards celebrating their 7th wedding anniversary. We wish the weather was more pleasant!
Thank you for sailing with us. Yacht: Lagoon 380 and skipper: Harris
"It was quite an experience. Thank god Marla and I were able to handle the rough conditions and still laugh about it. Although images or talk of water and boats is prohibited for a while. Harris was the highlight of the trip and I’m guessing it would have been the same even with good weather. The yacht was great. Luckily we went with the Cat. I can’t image going through that in a mono hull. The food and people were wonderful. Thank you so much for the olive oil! It is wonderful. I’ve attached a photo of Marla and I and a picture of our last night on the boat at sunset. I’ve got a bunch of film that I need to get developed. I’m hoping I got some good brochure photos of Harris. I’ll forward them to you later.
Thank you again – next time will be during the summer!   Kevin"

How satisfied are you with your sailing charter?
The weather didn’t really cooperate; “worst I’ve seen in 6 or 7 years” is how our skipper described it. But
we did charter a boat in October and we survived some pretty rough stuff no worse for wear. We’ll call it
adventure rather than a vacation. Thalea made the booking procedure easy and is extremely helpful and
prompt in addressing any questions and concerns. The boat was great.

Your skipper services:
We had Harris as our skipper. I think I mentioned the incredible bad weather we had
– well Harris made up for it. If it weren’t for him I think we would have been inclined to have thrown in the
towel after a couple of days. It’s hard to articulate what it was about him but I know Marla and I were sad to
see him drive away at the end of the trip.

Was enough information provided to you regarding your charter, checking in and out .
Yes! Don’t change a thing.
Given a choice, would you consider sailing with us in the future:
It might take a while to convince Marla to get back on a boat. But when I do it’ll be with Exas Yachting.
One suggestion would be to stock the boat with simple provisions (salt, pepper, dish soap, toilet paper). It
was no big deal to buy all this stuff at the store but it seems so wasteful to throw away a lot of unused stuff
(we did leave it all on the boat).

Hi Thalea.
How are you keeping? Sorry we're only getting around to sending you photos now.
We had a great time cruising around the Saronic Gulf with George in August.
Every single one of the 12 crew who traveled had the time of their life. So many of them told
me it was the best holiday they'd ever had.
Our friends Bill & Clara's wedding afterwards
was amazing and a great finale to 10 wonderful days in Greece.
George was great at showing us around all the best spots for sailing,
swimming and socializing!!  Could imagine a better skipper to travel with.
I just want to say thanks to you again Thalea for organizing the whole thing.
Everything ran so smoothly and the Bavaria and Beneteau were perfect for our needs.
Have a good Christmas.
I've attached a few photos from the trip. Sincerely Stephen Farrell
