Thank you Ann and friends for sailing in Greece with Exas
Yachts. !!
"No hesitation in sailing with you again- appreciated care taken with
multiple sclerosis crew- great care taken on shore excursions with taxi, guides,
tavernas, etc. Invaluable local knowledge made our trip a complete
success.
May thanks to George for all his care and to Lorella for the lovely meals she
prepared and quiet care given. If we return again, which is more than
possible, we would like to visit another area- hopefully with the same skipper
and crew please!"

A Big Welcome Back to the Jordahl's:
You are all perfectly happy!!!

for a 3 week holiday of sun and fun.

"Hello Thalea,
As you know we’re now well back in Norway, after a fantastic three weeks in
Greece. The yacht was, as you promised, a very good choice for us. It was a
fantastic boat; spacey, comfortable and we actually couldn’t think of any major
things we would have changed or added.
Except, the dingy, which has been a problem on all the trips we have had. The
dingy itself could very well be slightly bigger, but more important there are
always engine problems, and our 5 hp is too small with so many people on the
yacht. Actually we would also have appreciated a slightly bigger water
tank..
We were very pleased that you managed to hire Pantelis as our skipper. He is
very professional, not only in handling the yacht itself, but even more
importantly in handling client relations and managing the situation of living so
close together in three full weeks. He is also a very pleasant person, and we
had a very good time together. We know it must have been a tiresome challenge to
lie so much at anchor, with the limited sailing we did, but we still hope it was
a pleasant charter for him too.
We must also commend you and Exas on your arrangement of our trip. As always it
is a pleasure to sail with you, and we really appreciate the friendly and
professional cooperation and service we receive. To conclude, it was a
very successful vacation for us and our best boating experience in Greece so
far.
We have already started our discussions on what to do next year, and may be
looking at a similar trip to the Dodecanese. We did that a few years back, but
there’s still many place we haven’t been. We’ll come back to you on that.
Hope you have a busy and good season, and look forward to talking to you later.
Best regards
Carine and Kai
Ps. We’ve enclosed a picture of the Captain and crew, wearing our S/Y Omerta,
Ocean Challenge T-shirts. Hope you agree that we look really sharp."
C. Good takes a cabin cruise on the
SY Panorama which was then
switched to the H & B II- Thanks Carl for all the
fantastic photos and emails of your activities; we do apologize for any
misunderstandings in regards to the yacht and are pleased a reasonable
explanation was acceptable. We look forward to
seeing you in Athens again soon! Thalea................"Hi,
Thanks very much for getting back to me and the explanation sounds reasonable. I
will certainly think of you for future cruises in the future. All
the best C. Good"
"The charter
went well and I was very happy with the support from Thalea Lyras. The boat was
changed but the replacement was acceptable and the total experience better than
I had expected. The information was effective but a map of the location of the
embarkation port would have been useful.
I would sail with you in the future and consider a bear boat charter. The only
problem on the cruise was the last day when we were told that the boat had a
problem with the engine cooling system and we were off loaded early. Although
the ability to see the temple of Poseidon, the bus trip to the hotel and the
hotel itself were very nice; some of our fellow passengers saw the HB II return
to port with about 50 people on board. It seemed that we were lied to so that
the boat could take another party on the last day. I believe that because of
the last minute change in boats and the quality of the last day that was on land
rather than the boat; that the passengers would have understood and the
subterfuge was unnecessary".

"Dear Thalea,
First of all we have appreciated once again the
impeccable services of Exas Yachts and the swift assistance that you provided to
get the genaker delivered to Lefkas, which was done quite quickly as it arrived
at 3:00 in the morning! We look forward to chartering via Exas again in the
future. (You may put this on your website if you wish). "
Thanks to Everyone!! (thalea and nikos)
Anne's group

SY Kallisto-
thanks for sailing with us!
"Dear Thalea, Overall we were very satisfied
with the charter. The booking procedure was very positive and efficient and we
greatly appreciated all the information you provided about the boat and other
issues too (ferries, connection to Nicole at Delmar for hotels). The boat was
great and it was easy to find the boat and Christos with your specific
instructions (the satellite photo of Paros was helpful!). Christos was an
interesting guy whom we enjoyed hanging out with and getting to know and he was
a good island “host”. Our only disappointment was partially related to the
weather/wind in that we only actually “sailed” for approximately 2-3 hours total
(60-90 minutes on 2 days). Otherwise we primarily motored between islands. The
sailing was on days when there was very little wind. On other days we were in
port because of excessive wind. Obviously the wind cannot be predicted but a
bit of this seemed to be due to Christos being very conservative and cautious,
which overall we of course appreciate. However, he motored the whole way
between Iraklia and Ios and had us dock somewhat early in the afternoon because
he was concerned about a future gale which did not materialize until a day
later. Between not enough wind and too much wind (and Christos’ caution) it
seemed like there were very narrow window of opportunity for actual sailing. If
this is typical for this region at this time of year, I guess we would have
liked this feedback in advance and maybe would have chosen another set of
islands with more sailing opportunities. The other feedback we have has to do
with getting to Santorini. As you probably know, we chose to ferry from Ios as
you had predicted might be the best option. We know you have a difficult role
as a booking agent when clients request to go to Santorini, as we did and you
don’t want to be overly discouraging and lose the booking. You told us that
this might not be possible due to sea conditions, which was indeed part of the
issue. However, the dilemma made even more sense to us as Christos explained
the docking situation (on buoy away from easy transportation to the top). We
would have planned on a ferry from the beginning had we known all the
variables. I’d encourage you to tell clients like us all of this info in
advance and let them know more clearly that most clients find it more convenient
to ferry from Ios or Folengadros and to have details re ferries etc to
facilitate planning. Thanks again for your help and we would sail with you
again if we decided on another trip like this. Ann H."
