- OCEAN STAR 51.1, year built 1999
and 2000
- 5 total cabins: 2 double and 2 triple and 1 skipper
-
- Ocean Star 51.1 is the "pride" of Ocean Yachts. Born out of the
desire to build a truly innovative sailing yacht, she is adapted tot he
cruising needs of the new Millennium. Combining naval tradition, efficiency
and yachtsmen's experience, the Ocean Star 511 was created to offer high performance, liability
and comfort. Her layout and deck plan are beyond present cruising standards.
-

- The deck layout on the Ocean Star 511 offers a teak covered sunbathing
area and cockpits as well as extremely wide side decks. The batches and
fitting are located prudently to ensure easy and safe circulation on deck. Access
to the deck is possible by way of an enormous innovative stern (bathing
platform) that leads to totally uncluttered passageways to both side decks,
as well as to the cockpits configuration. She offers an abundance of comfortable
leisure spaces divided between guest and crew cockpit. The large guest
cockpit offers space for 8 people around a standard table. The autonomous
crew cockpit has twin mechanical steering positions, direct access to all
winches and functional process to the sidekicks by the stern, without
annoying the guests.
-

- The Ocean Star 511 offers a luxurious interior which is outstanding, not
only because of her spaciousness, but also because of exceptional quality of
the furnishings. The charter version offers 2 aft double cabins, 2 forward
triple cabins (one double bed with a single above) and a standard cabin for
the skipper. Each cabin is equipped with storage compartments and washroom
complete with shower, sink and toilet.
- The standard galley consists of refrigerator, freezer and gimbaled gas
oven-cooker. Light and ventilation are superb and ensured in the saloon and
cabins through sufficient hatches, portholes and dorade boxes. Numerous closets
offer sufficient storing space in every correctly situated position.
